How Did Mesila Branch Out?
As Mesila Israel grew, news of its success travelled to Jewish communities worldwide. With Jewish community coffers abroad being taxed by endless requests from needy families, there was much interest in Mesila’s innovative approach to breaking the cycle of poverty. Jewish community leaders contacted Mesila to ask for help in implementing Mesila’s approach in their communities.
Mesila was pleased to be able to export their knowledge and specialized materials, culled from years of experience in the field -to help struggling Jews, wherever they may be.
In 2009, our first international branches were born in the U.S. –in Lakewood, New Jersey and Baltimore, Maryland. Since then, we have established 5 more.
How Do Mesila Branches Operate?
Upon request from Jewish community leaders abroad, Mesila established branches in the U.S., Canada, UK and Europe. Mesila’s staff trains lay community leaders and volunteer staff and institutes Mesila curricula in Jewish day schools worldwide.
